The past two weeks has been a blur of *ahem* recycling yes on 8 signs, watching political news, then adding funds and able bodies to the protests for me.

Then this bothersome flu has hit me. Leaving me at home to rest, play Pokemon, then write love letters to Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann. All the while Michael's been helping me out, the big sweetie. Donning his very own fag-hag t-shirt and marching hand-in-hand with some of his best friends, gay and straight a alike, all in line over the right to happiness.

The joy of Obama's victory is short lived here in California. All my energy is being put toward Pokemon fighting for equal rights.

Even as an atheist, I have tried to live my life by one very Christian lesson. Matthew 7:12, thanks Keith for reminding me where it came from:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

All in all, I've been amazed that while everyone else was partying towards the end of October, Mikey and I have been well, getting all political and stuff.

"What did you do over the weekend?" I'd casually ask a co-worker.

"Oh man, I was at a Warehouse party, I'm still a little buzzed..."

Hmm, all I did was protest for equal rights and donate funds to causes I believe in. Man I'm so gay.

You are so totally gay. (Thank god there are people like you.)

Off on a little rantish type thing- It's always amazed me how (very very very) few Christians follow the most simple of their own rules. (& the golden rule being one of the most common sense rules ever and everywhere.) In my whole life I've only ever met two Christians that impressed me as being plain ole good people. & I grew up very "Christian"; 2 week bible camps in the summer, religion class, raising my hands during songs like on those freakn' Christian rock commercials. Total freakn' dork. Then, early teens, I started to realize I had no right to think other people's religions were wrong, started seeing all the hypocrisy I just couldn't go along with, and ended up more of what I figured I was leaning to all along- pretty damn liberal and totally agnostic.

I was really hoping prop 8 wouldn't pass. Anyway, just had to post and say thanks for being one of the ones fighting there
