Not really feeling it on many pieces. I kinda just want to work on highly render pieces in my sketchbook. I was trying to clean up some art to get printed at Ript apparel... But I like airbrushing too much right now. Going back to heavy inked shading and cross hatching just feels wrong. :3

So, my brother asked me if I could design a t-shirt for my niece's Daisy Scouts. Sure thing, I'll do it for free, and the troupe can just go to cafe press or something and pay for a shirt.

I drew this scribble as a basic concept, and the whole Carlton family fell in love.

Sweet! I'll just fix it up in photoshop and send the working file along.

Well the parents of Daisy scouts are a terrible lot. They literally just wanted a daisy on a shirt. Well assholes, just get a fucking fabric marker and some shirts at Michaels and draw it yourselves! I did this design for free, because I wanted to make my niece happy. Not so idiot parents can critique the art.

It's apparently "too sophisticated." Wow, I'm sorry you like to dumb things down for your kids, and that you are afraid of dressing them in something that looks nicer than the crap you usually get at Wal-Mart.

ALSO: I DESIGNED THIS FOR FREE, SAY THANKS, THEN SHUT UP AND BUY YOUR OWN FABRIC PAINTS.

Final art that my parents will probably print (because we Carltons hate group-think)

Why didn't anyone tell me "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is so fucking great!!?!

So, I'm back on LJ because, the html input on blogspot is ancient and retarded, and the friend page view in a tiny window?
The past two weeks has been a blur of *ahem* recycling yes on 8 signs, watching political news, then adding funds and able bodies to the protests for me.

Then this bothersome flu has hit me. Leaving me at home to rest, play Pokemon, then write love letters to Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann. All the while Michael's been helping me out, the big sweetie. Donning his very own fag-hag t-shirt and marching hand-in-hand with some of his best friends, gay and straight a alike, all in line over the right to happiness.

The joy of Obama's victory is short lived here in California. All my energy is being put toward <strike>Pokemon</strike> fighting for equal rights.

Even as an atheist, I have tried to live my life by one very Christian lesson. Matthew 7:12, thanks Keith for reminding me where it came from:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

All in all, I've been amazed that while everyone else was partying towards the end of October, Mikey and I have been well, getting all political and stuff.

"What did you do over the weekend?" I'd casually ask a co-worker.

"Oh man, I was at a Warehouse party, I'm still a little buzzed..."

Hmm, all I did was protest for equal rights and donate funds to causes I believe in. Man I'm so gay.

Managed to make people uncomfortable using phrases like, "fag-stag" and "fag-hag."And, "I used to hang out with transgendered people and drag queens." I thought such terms were old hat, but apparently I am educating my generation. Ha-rumph.

My car is slowly dying. Poor Billy needs a lot of work. about $1,700 worth. So no big parties or travel plans for me until the new year. I can go ultra-frugal mode. And the Puente Hills Toyota service center is a nice place to sit around and play Pokemon till I can't feel my ass anymore.

Despite this, I still donated to Obama's campaign. <3 I get a car magnet and everything.
I have not finished any new zombies or skull pieces lately. I have been consumed with a all-burning desire to play Pokemon and other old school games. Only to discover that my Pokemon games are either a.) at some charitable organization I flippantly donated to or b.) hiding in a box in the garage.

Plus most of my doodles have been passed to my BF Mikey, passed in the halls of our work as if we were still in High School.

Yes, we get teased endlessly by co-workers. My co-workers making jokes about our wedding/kids/life together. His co-workers asking him lewd and crude things that disgust even him. Jarrod, the owner of Hybrid dubbed me "Glow-worm" and now "Sprinkles" because of how happy I look. The man is very sharp and knows exactly what is going on.

Busy being in love with someone; Someone effing amazing.
